Sandy has over thirty years of experience in leadership positions in the tourism and hospitality arena with a major emphasis on marketing and public relations, tourism, customer service, hospitality, as well as downtown and community development.

Sandy has contributed to the success of several Georgia organizations as Executive Director of  Washington-Wilkes County Tourism, Main Street & Chamber of Commerce;  Hinesville-Liberty County Tourism & Main Street; and Hawkinsville-Pulaski Economic Development, Chamber of Commerce and Main Street.  Most recently, she managed Visitor Services for the Greater Sitka Chamber of Commerce & Visit Sitka in Sitka, Alaska.

Sandy has advocated for economic vitality for businesses and activities, all the while striving for balance between the needs of the residents and those of the visitors. “I’m excited to be joining the Dade County community.  By bringing people from all walks of life and different skill sets together for a common goal, you can help preserve and share the richness of the community and its special heritage with the world.”
